Abstract

The purpose of this study examines the role of School Principal and school supervisors in improving teacher competence. The population in this study are teachers of Vocational High School in Malang City consisting of 20 vocational schools as many as 1488 teachers, with a sample of 94 teachers. The analysis used is multiple regression. The results showed that the role of the school principal and the role of school supervisors has a significant relationship with teacher competence. The Principal of Vocational High School in Malang City, always share the knowledge that has been obtained in the world of teaching to the teachers and improve the quality of leadership especially in supervising to improve the professional competence of teachers and teachers should be more active in following the training activities, so that the training they follow can really be useful and increase their professional competence.

Abstract

Agrotourism is one of the government’s commitment to further improve the quality of tourism in the region and the agrotourism customers play an important role in the agrotourism destination, in this case, is Mekarsari Fruit Garden in improving loyalty. The purpose of this research is to know the role of customer participation and the quality of service in improving loyalty at Fruit Park Mekarsari, West Java. Respondents from this study were visitors who took part in the Mekarsari Garden Tour Package. Questionnaires were given directly after the respondents participated in following the green land package. The number of samples in this study was 144 respondents. Model and Data Analysis Technique for this research used PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of this study indicate that there is no direct correlation between motivation and loyalty, but there is a significant relationship between motivation and loyalty if we consider Service Quality to improve customer loyalty. This indicates that customer motivation will play an important role in improving customer loyalty if customers also feel the quality of service well.

Abstract

Concern the government of the importance of the quality of fishery products as set out in KEPMEN-KP/52A/2013 should be followed up through the implementation of quality systems in fisheries activities. The purpose of this research was formulating development strategies and steps for the successful implementation of quality management in tuna fisheries in Sendangbiru. The analysis methods that used in this research is balanced scorecard. The result show, strategic target of implementation quality management policies on tuna fisheries in Sendangbiru are the quality of tuna produced A and B, equipment and facilities complete, distribution vehicles viable, use of technology, and availability counseling and supervision of the activities of tuna handling.

Abstract

Today print media face serious problem. Technology advances in communication and information sector has caused online media grow rapidly replacing the function of print media. The growth of online media caused some print media industries change their product into the online version, even some of them stop producing. This study aims to see the influence of online media towards the consumption of print media from the consumers’ point of view. This study was conducted in Institut Pertanian Bogor with 92 lecturers as respondents. Proportional random sampling technique was used in this study. Structural Equation Model based on SMART Partial Least Square v2.0 with four latent variables which were reader’s motivation, behavior of reading print media, behavior of reading online media, and media consumption decision were used in this study to analyze the data. The result of the analysis showed that (1) reader’s motivation directly had significant effect on reader’s consumption decision, (2)reader’s motivation directly had significant effect on behavior of reading print media, (3 )reader’s motivation had significant effect on behavior of reading online media, and (4) behavior of reading print media had insignificant effect on the media consumption decision (5) behavior of reading online media had insignificant effect on the media consumption decision.

Abstract

Incubator is required to increase the creation of newly technology based firms (NTBFs) that will be dealing with the change of response of market demand as well as technological developments. Incubator management needs sufficient capacity supported by a variety of factors that can determine as the influential factor of an incubator management. The purpose of this study was to compare self –assessment performance based on the factor of incubator management and to describe the diversity of these factors and reduce thus gaining a dominant factor by using principal component analysis, this study was conducted in LIPI, Bandung Techno Park and Solo Techno Park. Purposive sampling was used for the sampling technique with a total population of respondent 18 of 49. Based on the results of research conducted in three incubator institution. LIPI has strength in service criteria compared with two other incubator but weak in objective & management and strategy criteria. Bandung Techno Park has strength in objective & management, strategy, resources criteria. The research has managed to reduce 58 to 13 are considered to be contributing factors in incubator management. This research also generated cumulative proportion diversity of Resources=75.635%; Services=59.177%; Selection System= 69.277%; Strategy=81.584%; Objectives and Management=84.582%. This indicates that each of these factors in the perception of respondents in this study can affect the influential factor in the management of incubators

Abstract

This study aims to examine and explain the effect of Market to Book Value of Equity, Ratio of Depreciation to Firm Value, and Ratio of capital expenditure to book value of assets simultaneously to company performance are proxied by return on investment (ROI). In addition, this study also aims to determine the most dominant influence. The sample used in this study are 8 companies of Textile and Garment Sub-sector which go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange and got a total of 40 pooling data for period 2010-2014. This study uses the method of financial ratio analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and inferential statistical analysis. The result of the study shows that the contribution of Market to Book Value of Equity, Ratio of Depreciation to Firm Value, and Ratio of capital expenditure to book value of assets simultaneously to company performance are proxied by return on investment (ROI) equal to 42.2%. Estimation results can be seen that the variable that has the largest standardization coefficient is the variable Market to Book Value of Equity. Thus, Market to Book Value of Equity has the most dominant influence on return on investment (ROI).

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of social capital on the employee performance, to find out the effect of training on employee performance, to find out the effect of competence on employee performance, and to find out the effect of work experience on employee performance. This study was conducted in healthcare facilities of Regional General Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan. The populations in this study were nurses at the Inpatient Dr Sayidiman Magetan Hospital totaling 519 people. The sampling technique employed in this research was proportionate stratified random sampling with the sample consisting of 115 employees, it’s obtained from the sample size (n) = number of indicators (23) x 5. Techniques of collecting data used in this research were documentation, observation and questionnaire. Technique of analyzing data used was chi square analysis. The result of research showed that social capital affected significantly the employee performance. Training education affected significantly the employee performance. Competence affected significantly the employee performance in. Job experience affected significantly employee performance

Abstract

This study analyzed the effect of trust, risk, web design and its relation with consumer attitude and consumer intention to buy online in Malang. Population in this study are society of Malang and the number of the sample is 120 respondents. The sampling techniques is purposive sampling and the data is analyzed with parsial least square (PLS) analysis. The results indicate several findings that trust, risk, web design and consumer attitude have direct effect on consumer intention to buy online. Web design have an efffect on consumer intention to buy online through consumer attitude. But not with trust and risk, because trust and risk does not have significant effect on consumer intention to buy online through consumer attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership function, motivation and work discipline on employees’ performance. The population in this study is all employees at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration Karawang Regency. This research is conducted on the population of 159 people. This study uses verification research methods by using path analysis. The results show that leadership function, motivation, and work discipline have a significant effect either partially or simultaneously on employee performance. By improving the leadership function, employee motivation and work discipline, it is possible to increase the employees’ performance at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration Karawang Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate empirically the influence of personality traits to workplace deviant behavior among civil servants in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. Using cross-sectional survey method and stratified proportionate random sampling data were conducted to 263 civil servants from various departments and Agencies in Pekanbaru by using questionnaires. The data analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings emphasize the importance of taking personality traits into consideration during employee recruitment processes to minimize workplace deviant behavior.
